I have to admit that film is my favorite medium to shoot on, and I am pretty sure that it is evident from my branding and all the posts I do on film. These are just some random shots from some film I have shot over the last few months. The first shot of me was taken by Eliesa from Photogen Inc in MN. Others are from Vegas and the dessert and a few from a wedding back in March.
For those who want to know what I was shooting
Ilford 3200
Fuji Neopan 400 B/W
I am sure that you can tell which is which!

eliesa says:
AHHHH!!!! I absolutely LOVE these!!!!!!! I love the realness of film! That will never die!!! I just absolutely adore these! LOVEe

InDesign is the way to go. I have messed around with it before but never really sunk my teeth into using it because Photoshop was working. When CS5 came out of course I went and got the new toys and decided to give it a go. My buddy Mark Brooke sent over his templates for me to try out and OMG it was so easy and so much more effective than Photoshop. I know some of you are going to say, "of course it is made to design", yeah now I get it.
First off it can all be drag and drop. Love that!!! Second the images are so much easier to change in size and shape while keeping what you want lined up lined up. I am going to quit with the succession now because I will be spelling out numbers for a while. Once an image is laid down you can go back in PS and edit the image and when you go back to the album the image is there already changed just like you made it. This is great because if you want an image to be B/W you don't have to do anything except edit the original. Time Saver!!! Adding strokes and changing page colors is super easy. If you have three frames and you want one image to cover all three you just click a button and bam, the image go to all three instead of one. There are million other reasons so if you want just ask!!
All of these were designed with Mark Brooke's templates which I highly recommend to you. There are some pretty FUNKY designs in there. It is also super easy to design your own templates or just add to the ones you got. I am going to put a link at the bottom of this post so you know where to go to get these. I hope this was helpful and if you have any questions please let me know.
This is from Jaclyn and Tyler's engagement shoot earlier in the year!
Full Discloser: I do get a cut if you order the templates after clicking from my site!!!

I have been listening to music more when I shoot as a way to get my mind in a place that is not over thinking things. I find that I do my best work when my mind is free to play and not thinking about the things that are going on out side of whatever shoot I am doing. Music helps me to really zone in and create the chemistry that I need with my subject and to my surprise really gets us both on the same page.
I went out yesterday to do a promo shoot for my good friend and hair stylist for her new website. Robin pretty much styles any shoot that I do where I need hair done. Here are a few from the day!
