Welcome to my blog!
My name is Jeffrey Neal and I am an Orange County Photographer!

This is where you can see all that I am doing in the world of photography!  On my blog you will find the latest images from all the shoots that I have, information for my clients and any other crazy ideas or projects that I have.
I have been trying this last year to really make all my post processing very consistent.  It is so important to have all my images look consistent.  Every now and then I love to just play in Photoshop and I really loved the way this image came out.  I used TRA2 to edit this photo just in case you were wondering.  What I love about it is the erie feel and still very beautiful.

Yesterday I went out to go shoot in the fields just for fun.  I mostly shot some film with my new (for me) Contax 645 which was so much fun but I did shoot some digital.  Karah was so great to just go trespassing in Laguna Beach so that we could get into some awesome fields.  I was using off camera flash for last shots which turned out really cool.  I love the color and dark feel to the images.  Check em out!!

On Monday night I had the pleasure of being involved with a great charity called St. Baldrick's.  I love that the way that they raise money for Cancer research.  People get others to give them money for them to shave their head and support child cancer patients.  If you guys remember Erica from our Vegas shoot, she was the one to get me involved with this charity.  Erica is so passionate about this and it was that passion that caused me to look into this, and the rest is history.  I want to thank all of you that donated for me to shave my head. Our group in RSM raised over $33,000 and had a great time.  One of the last images is of little Zoe who has Leukemia and is shaving her mom's head.  That was such a touching moment.

These are wonderful! I love Zoe shaving her Mom's head! Its so cool to see families get involved together... It would be awesome if you did a portrait session with them!
These make me so happy, I'm so glad you and your wife have found Baldricks to be as positive as I have. Next year, we'll join forces somehow. Even if its just as mutual cheerleaders. :) *proud hugs*

I always get so excited to get my film processed and see how it all came out.  I just got my film back from WPPI and it was so much fun to go through the images.  I am posting some shots from the [b] party and the shoot we did at red rocks on the last day of Vegas.  All of the images posted are on ilford 3200 b/w film that is why they are so grainy.  Love to hear your thoughts!

Sorry, first two shots and two in the [b] school party are on on 400!

Also all shots are unedited!

This was only my second year at WPPI and I really wanted to make it a growth experience and challenge my self in shooting.  As I was driving back from Vegas the week before WPPI I decided to do a shoot for five photographers all in one day.  I am crazy!  It turned out to be the best thing in the world.  I posted on the [b] school what I was doing and had an overwhelming response.  So on Tuesday I had five photographers lined up to shoot starting at 9:00a and ending at 5:30p.  It was so great in many ways.  Not only to meet five great people but to shoot five totally different personalities back to back and try to capture each one in their own way while being true to my style.  Check them out!  Thank you to those I shot, I truly enjoyed myself and loved shooting each one of you.

For all of the photog's I shot all images with the 5D mark II and the only lenses I used were the 45 tilt/shift and the 24 1.4.

All images were processed with totally rad actions and a few of my own.

Jeff! I love your blog. It has such a positive, energetic vibe and a rad design. Good job on your Vegas shoot. That sounds like a lot of work. I think I've been to that bar in that one shot you have with the bartender. Looks familiar!! Ha ha. Anyways, always love when you & Kara stop by, let me know when you're ready to go bike shopping!! Check out my blog if you get a chance, tritawn.blogspot.com.
