Welcome to my blog!
My name is Jeffrey Neal and I am an Orange County Photographer!

This is where you can see all that I am doing in the world of photography!  On my blog you will find the latest images from all the shoots that I have, information for my clients and any other crazy ideas or projects that I have.

My beautiful wife and I are celebrating 4 years of marriage today!  I have to say that it has flown by so fast.  It seems like yesterday that we were anxiously waiting for our wedding to come.

I have to say that marriage has been an amazing adventure.  I believe in love and in love that lasts.  Yes, it takes work and more importantly commitment but being with the one that you love has to be one of the greatest gifts in this life.  I want to say thank you to my wife for loving me the way she does and for putting up with my OCD and constant craziness.  I think that the most important aspect of marriage is being able to forgive one another and always trying to see the intent of your spouse in any situation.  My wife has had such grace on me over these years and my prayer is that I do the same for her.

Kid- I love you and am so excited to spend many more years with you!!

Thank you to Chenin Boutwell for these amazing images of Kara and I.

First I want to say how blessed I am to live in the United States of America and how thankful I am for the men and women who have fought to give us the freedoms that we have in this great country!

This past week I have been in CO to attend the memorial of my brides grandmother.  Her name is Lee Guenther I am so proud to say that I had the opportunity to know her.  I feel it is appropriate to include this in honoring the 4th of July as Lee was awarded the Bronze Star Medal in WWII!  She served Eisenhower and our great country so that we could have the freedoms we do.  I just want to say thank you to Lee and thank God for the freedoms we enjoy.

The pictures below are of the Honor Guard playing "taps" and folding the flag in honor of her service.

This past weekend I was in Chapel Hill NC to shoot Amy and Eric Hoot's gorgeous wedding with my great friend Eliesa for her 2009 wedding giveaway!  I can not even begin to tell you how much fun I had.  Chapel Hill is so beautiful and the people are extremely nice and giving.  We had the pleasure of living inside the Tar Heel's craze for 4 days and these people love the Tar Heel's more than any thing I have ever seen.  It does help that they won the NCAA championship this year!

Being that I was the second shooter I had a ton of freedom to shoot for myself along with fulfilling the crazy demands of Eliesa as this was her wedding.  She is actually my favorite person to shoot with and I love running around doing whatever I can to make her day better.  I have been wanting to do a B/W post for a long time so I thought this was a perfect opportunity to do so.  All images were edited in Aperture using Nik's Software Silver Efex Pro making the film look like Ilford's 3200 B/W Film.  Enjoy and thank you Eric and Amy for such an amazing week!

Today Eliesa and I drove around NC to find some cool things to shoot and we ran into this burned out building that still had not yet been demolished.  It was probably burned in January or so.  It was so erie how it seemed so lived in and untouched since the fire.  There was this sense of peeking inside another families destruction and devastation.  Check them out!
