Welcome to my blog!
My name is Jeffrey Neal and I am an Orange County Photographer!

This is where you can see all that I am doing in the world of photography!  On my blog you will find the latest images from all the shoots that I have, information for my clients and any other crazy ideas or projects that I have.
I was so stoked when the girls over at Utterly Engaged asked me if they could talk about my recent trip Africa.  I absolutely love being a wedding photographer because it allows me to spend time giving back and doing things that I love.  I had the blessing of being able to go serve in Africa and document all that we did.  It was so amazing to spend the time that I did in the hospital in Midigo, Uganda because I really felt like I was able to make a connection with the people and I hope that my images express that.

Please go Check out the Utterly Engaged site and see all the amazing things that they are bringing to the table for budget savvy brides.

A little Polaroid fun is like eating candy for the first time!

Polaroid_1.jpg
I have recently purchased an SX-70 Polaroid camera and have been so excited to shoot it.  The only place I know where to get the film is PolarPremium so if you are interested check them out.  The other day I just decided to walk around my house in Rancho Santa Margarita and just grab some cool images.

I have to say that I am in love with the old suer cool (cool as in temperature) look of all the images.  Also with the SX-70 you can control exposure which allows some cool possibilities in trying to produce different looking images.

Being that there are so many wedding photographers here in Southern California I am always trying to find new ways to do things a little different.  Not that film or Polaroid isn't being done by some photographers, its just that offering new and different looking products is always a great way to stand out.  The other side is I just love any type of film and Polaroid almost gives you the best of both worlds, film with instant gratification and a very unique look.

Check these two from my little test with this medium!

If you are interested in my wedding photography check my work out here Jeffrey Neal and please contact me here!

So excited to announce that the winners of the 2010 JNP Studios wedding giveaway is the very deserving couple Ashley and Ross. After a whole month of voting and 14,514 votes Ashley and Ross pulled off the win with 7,903 votes.  This race was really close and I have to say thank you to all the other couples and all of you who voted.

On top of getting their wedding shot for free Caren of Design Visage in Newport Beach has offered free hair and make-up to Ashley on the day of her wedding.  This is very exciting because Caren and her team at Design Visage are not only great at what they do but very fun to hang out with.

Ashley and Ross will be getting married on June 19th of 2010 at the Newport Beach Marriott, and I have to say that I am very excited to shoot their wedding!

Wow!  What an amazing trip this past week has been.  My wife and I have been in Africa, specifically Uganda, with our church.  We have been helping at our friends, the Emuku's, church and hospital.  I have to admit I was very anxious this time to go to Africa as I went in between weddings and during a very busy season.  I had not really had the time to think about the trip and all the exciting things we would get to do and the amazing people we would come in contact with.  Once I got here I immediately remembered why I came.

We have have been so blessed just getting to serve others and be a part of the amazing work that God is doing in Midigo Uganda.  This last February they were able to open up the only surgery center in Midigo which was a huge deal.  On Sunday I was privileged to watch and shoot the birth of a beautiful little girl who was born by c-section.  Had the surgery center not been there both her and the baby would have died.  So needless to say it is so exciting to know that there is now this place in Midigo that is saving peoples lives.

I am sure I will post more but I just want to post some of my favorite images of the young ones that so touched our lives this last week.

Ok, I have to share this with you!  A few weeks ago I shot a very unique and cute wedding with Mark Brooke.  This wedding was very artsy and had a very "one of a kind" feel to it.  On the Queen Mary you are not allowed to sprinkle flowers every where so Tiffany being such a creative bride thought, "lets give them pinwheels"!  So adorable.  I thought these pinwheel girls looked so cute and they had so much fun with them that I had to share them with you all.

I think this is one of my favorite images from the day.  Kids are always the best in front of the camera as they don't try to be anything other than who they are and I think this image captures the three all being themselves.  Thank you Mark for having me and I am so excited for you and Candice and the new baby to be!
