Happy independence day America/honoring Lee Guenther!

First I want to say how blessed I am to live in the United States of America and how thankful I am for the men and women who have fought to give us the freedoms that we have in this great country!

This past week I have been in CO to attend the memorial of my brides grandmother. Her name is Lee Guenther I am so proud to say that I had the opportunity to know her. I feel it is appropriate to include this in honoring the 4th of July as Lee was awarded the Bronze Star Medal in WWII! She served Eisenhower and our great country so that we could have the freedoms we do. I just want to say thank you to Lee and thank God for the freedoms we enjoy.

The pictures below are of the Honor Guard playing "taps" and folding the flag in honor of her service.

Langham Huntington Pasadena Wedding Photography| Kim & Johnny

I have been in CO all week so it has taken me a little longer to blog this week than usual but last Saturday's wedding is here! I have been so excited to shoot this wedding and spend the day with Kim and Johnny!

Since the first consultation I knew Kim and Johnny would be life friends. These two are so cute and so in love! Johnny made a video with all of their friends and family and had it play on a public screen to ask Kim to marry him, so awesome!

I have posted more images than usual because this wedding had so many things going on. They had a Catholic ceremony followed by a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony which are always so cool to be a part of. Kim and Johnny saw each other before the ceremony and Johnny surprised Kim with a song that he played on the Guitar. Their first look was so emotional that even the wedding planner started to tear up. Kim had three dresses ( one of which was a Monique Lhuillier and wanted portraits in each dress so we did a shoot Sunday morning so that we could fit it all in. I want to say thank you to Kim and Johnny for such a great weekend at the Langham and allowing me to share this special day with you two. Have fun in Tahiti!

Vanessa & Gilbert in LA @ Olivera Street!

This last weekend I shot Vanessa and Gilbert's engagement session just down the street from where they are getting married in July. We will be at the Biltmore late July to see this adorable couple tie the knot.

Vanessa and Gilbert are both such amazing people and were so much fun to spend the morning with and shoot. We shot for a little while and then headed over to the Biltmore to get a drink and talk about the wedding details which will be amazingly beautiful. We ended the day with a little more shooting and the images turned out great. I only posted a few just so I don't give it all away.

Jordyn & Scott @ Dove Canyon

Last Friday I had the privilege to shoot Jordyn and Scott's wedding in Dove Canyon. This was a special wedding because I grew up next door to Scott. I got to know Jordyn over the past year and realized that her and Scott are perfect for each other. I was very honored when Jordyn and Scott asked me to shoot their wedding and I am so stoked on how the whole day turned out. It was so cool to shoot a wedding where you know almost all the guests.

I thought it was so sweet that Scott's brother Jeff got ordained so that he could perform the ceremony for these two. As you can see they were very easy and fun to shoot during the portrait session, which you all know is my favorite time of the wedding day!

Rancho Las Lomas Wedding Photographer|Laura:Scott

Wow, this has to be one of my longest posts ever! I have been so excited to shoot Laura Scott's wedding since they stepped into my studio. Besides having an incredible sense of style and being such a cute couple, Laura and Scott are both amazing people. Ranch Las Lomas is also one of my favorite wedding venues to shoot weddings at because of how many amazing things there are to photograph. They put so much thought and effort into every little detail of their wedding. All the bird cages were painted by them in their garage in the months leading up to the wedding. Laura had a beautiful Casa Blanca wedding dress and these cute shoes from Modern Vintage. Lauren from Design Visage in Newport Beach was responsible for hair and make-up!

One of my favorite parts of the day was when the pastor announced Laura and Scott both of their parents let butterflies go to celebrate the new couple. Because the couple saw each other before the ceremony we had plenty of time to take lots of pictures many of which I wont show because I don't want to give it all away.

I do want to thank Michael Norwood for shooting with me at this amazing wedding! He was such a great help and grabbed some amazing images. Also Jonathan from San Francisco was the videographer for the event and I can not wait to see what he comes up with because he was so great to work with.
