Welcome to my blog!
My name is Jeffrey Neal and I am an Orange County Photographer!

This is where you can see all that I am doing in the world of photography!  On my blog you will find the latest images from all the shoots that I have, information for my clients and any other crazy ideas or projects that I have.
I have been anxiously waiting to see the clients cut of the fusion piece that Metmedia put together since we did the shoot a few weeks back. I got a message today from Jesse that it is finished, and I could not be more excited about how it turned out. This is what fusion is about, a professional photographer and a professional video team coming together and making an amazing product for the client. Check it out! If you are interested in having something like this done for your engagement shoot or wedding day please let me know. Packages are available!

I have been so excited to get this post up but I had to wait for the film to be developed and for utterly engaged to post this in the e-zine..  About a month ago my good friends Aaron and Barbara were married at Casa Romantica in San Clemente, CA.  They had Gabriel and Carlie from Gabriel Ryan Photography shoot their wedding but being that we are all photographers and friends I asked Aaron if I could shoot their wedding in film as a wedding gift.  Aaron was stoked!

I absolutely love shooting film and love the look of film.  I shot with Fuji 400 and 800 and also all the B/W is Kodak Tmax 3200.  I shot the whole wedding without flash and love how it cam out.  I wish I could just post all the images but that would be way too many images.

Please go check out Gabriel and see the amazing images that he and Carlie got shooting their wedding.  Also would love any feedback on the film or if you have any questions please feel free to email me or ask on the blog.  Enjoy!

I was at the other photographer's website, and thought that their photo processing looks like yours... only to found out that it's FILM !! The color and the creaminess is just not the same as digital photography !! It's so hard to master film, yet you do it so well !! Everytime I see your film photos, I have an urge to go to B&H film section afterwards....

I just want to say that this is a great movie!  Being a hopeless romantic at heart and loving true love this movie is highly recommended.  I truly think that love concurs all things and at the same time true love is different than any of life's experience.  I have been married for four years and believe that I have my perfect mate.  Other than loving indy films this film is a great picture of what true love looks like.  The framing and photography of this film is genius.  The story and the message of this film is even better.  After I watched this film I remembered how blessed I am to married to the woman I am.  Marriage is about living life together and rolling through lives punches as a pair, being their for each other and living for each other beyond what is imaginable.  Love is forever not because it is meant to be but because it is committed to be.  Love exist in the commitment not in the emotion of love, the emotion of love will only take place in the commitment.  Trust me watch this film.  It makes me appreciate my wife and love my marriage.

So, I have a new thing that I will be starting.  Every Wednesday I am just going to do a post just because.  Why Not!!!!  I guess to share a little more about me as well as to kill the lull that happens in the middle of every week.  So here goes my first one.

The images above is one of my favorite images that I have taken this year.  While I was in Africa I literally stumbled upon this scene of a Father siting with his son waiting to hear the news if his mom is going to be ok at the hospital.  What caught my eye is the quote behind them saying "you'll never walk alone."  As I sit and spend time with this image it speaks volumes to me.  I know that all of us need other people to live and experience this life with.  I am not saying that we can not be independent, but to some degree we really do need other people.  This person for me is my wife.

The idea of having others to experience our life's triumphs and trials is a very comforting thought.  As my wife and I were talking about our future plans to start a family and owning my own photography business, I started to go down the road of "will this provide the life I want for my family"?  As I brought up other ideas, nervously thinking about other options, my wife looked up at me and said, "I don't care about money, I just want you to keep doing what you love"  In that moment all of my fears and anxieties were gone.  It was that moment that I remembered how much I love and need my wife's support.  I don't have to do this alone.  I cherish and adore my wife and her passion to be a part of my life and loves.

I love being a photographer.  I have chosen this as a profession because I am passionate about people and making images that express both my subject and myself.  I think this time every year I get into a little funk, maybe because the season is winding down, maybe because I am just crazy, but having my best friend by my side is incredible.  I also trust in God to provide what I need, to have the family I desire.  Even though we are all feeling the effects to some degree of this economy, I know that with my wife and my God, life is good and I am way more blessed than I ought to be.

As many of you know I love Ansel Adams and his work.  I also love his quotes so here is one for the middle of your week.

"In wisdom gathered over time I have found that every experience is a form of exploration."
-Ansel Adams
